| Course description | Management control in companies achieves co-ordination and synergies between the diverse talents of individuals. Control also secures the implementation of company strategy. A variety of methods are used to obtain control- ranging from direct surveillance to feedback systems to social and cultural controls. This option studies managers four levers of control: belief systems; boundary systems; diagnostic control systems; and interactive control systems. These levers are utilised to transmit and process information whenever managers make efforts to maintain or alter patterns of business activity. |
