- Familiarity with the contents of Pauline writing(s) chosen 
- Familiarity with major critical approaches and issues in scholarly study of Paul, and ability to develop plausible positions on these issues that reflect scholarly approaches 
- Ability to do close study and exegesis of the text 
- Appropriate use of scholarly publications in class sessions, course essay and exam 
- Weekly preparation for informed participation in seminar-format discussion 
- Ability to present the results of research and analysis in coherent, structured written form, and demonstrating good English composition and proper acknowledgement of sources consulted. |
