Approaches to Politics and International Relations (U03220)

This core course will familiarize students with key theoretical approaches to politics and international relations. Several different analytical perspectives - rational choice theory, institutionalism and social constructionism as well as Marxism, feminism and postcolonialism - will be introduced and applied to contemporary, real world problems.

Please note: because of the high numbers of students enrolled, this course will almost certainly not be able to admit students from outside the College of Humanities and Social Science.
