        Chemical Engineering Industrial Project 5 (U02564)? Credit Points : 60 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : EEL-5-CHIND The industrial project in Chemical Engineering can be undertaken by MEng students in their final year.  It consists of a piece of original technical work in chemical engineering or a related discipline within an industrial context.  The scope of industrial projects depends on the individual project - some are based on production facilities and involve investigation of plant operation, modelling and analysis of performance, others are laboratory based involving experimentation, others are purely theoretical, some are a blend of all these elements.       Students will acquire experience in the methods and practice of industrial research and / or development and gain detailed knowledge and understanding in the area of their project.  After completing the Industrial Project, the student should be able to 
	        ? Devise a plan for a technical work which addresses a specified objective ? execute a technical work, after having the necessary training and making use as appropriate of the advice of experts ? report the results of the technical work. Assessment Information
