Acronym : EEL-3-CVFME This course is intended to:develop an understanding of open channel flow hydraulics and its application to engineered channels and natural water courses; develop an understanding of pressure-pipe flow; provide an introduction to river flood flow assessment and the design of stormwater drainage systems; and provide an introduction to design aspects of drinking-water supply and sewage disposal.       By the end of the course, the student should be able to: 
	        - demonstrate competence in the prediction of open channel flow and the design of distribution mains and trunk mains; - develop an understanding of the main procedures of river flood analysis; - show competence in the design of urban drainage networks; and - develop an awareness of the requirements for water supply and wastewater discharge.
