| (1) As an alternative, students may take the Mathematics courses prescribed for the Year 1 programme of the Mathematical Physics MPhys. | ||||
| (2) As an alternative, students may take the Mathematics and Mathematical Physics courses prescribed for the Year 2 programme of the Mathematical Physics MPhys. | ||||
| (3) As an alternative, students may take either Lagrangian Dynamics or Tensors & Fields from Schedule Q. | ||||
| (4) Progression to the final years of the MPhys programme requires no less than than 55% overall in Junior Honours and an average of at least 50% in Section B of the core course examinations (Quantum Mechanics, Dynamics & Relativity, Statistical Mechanics, and Electromagnetism). This is in addition to the general progression requirements. | ||||
| (5) Students who have already taken this course in year 3 should instead take an additional course chosen from Schedule Q at level 10/11. | ||||
| (6)The Programme Guide gives details and constraints on choice of courses, to facilitate advance planning. | ||||
