| * No previous knowledge of Portuguese is necessary: a pass in a modern foreign language or a classical language at SCE Higher grade or equivalent evidence of linguistic proficiency is normally required. | ||||
|  Students are required to attend approved courses in European Studies at an institution of higher learning in Spain and Portugal and to begin to prepare a dissertation upon an approved topic in European Studies (between 6,000 and 8,000 words). | ||||
