Acronym : LAW-1-U02806 The law concerning the rights and duties which arise at common law or under statute, irrespective of agreement, in situations where loss, injury or damage is caused or threatened by human conduct, eg. liability for negligence, intentional injury and defamation. Pre-requisites : Students taking this course in the 2nd year of their programmes should have taken Legal Reasoning and Legal System U02831 in their 1st, although a pass in that course is not essential, provided that it is being retaken.
