Summary | Preparation for the MSc Project is an important component of MSc programmes. This course will focus on the development of a project outline into a full project proposal with evaluation of datasets, hypotheses and power calculations as appropriate. |

The aim of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to conduct independent research on the background to their topic and to develop a research proposal.

- Design a research project in the field of ecology, evolution or biodiversity.
- Identify data and methods appropriate to answer a specific research question.

- Develop a research program that is deliverable in the time available.
