| Summary | This course will provide students with knowledge of the considerations for anaesthesia in animals with cardiac disease undergoing advanced procedures. It will also include advanced techniques for monitoring the cardiovascular system in animals. |
| Course description |
- To understand the basic pathophysiology of a cardiac disease, and how these perturbations will impact the anaesthetic and analgesic protocol of the patient.
- To be able to discuss different types of cardiac monitoring in animals and their potential benefits, limitations, and risks associated with each device.
- To be able to discuss anaesthetic management for animals undergoing various cardiac interventions
