Summary	During this final year students can select from three main options: a written dissertation (current or historical), a casebook, a portfolio or a small research project. This written reflective element will be an assignment of 10-15,000 words and a detailed proposal must be submitted and approved by the candidates/ supervisors and the programme director. An appropriate level of critical analysis, academic knowledge and reflection on the nature of enquiry will be required.
Course description	A spirit of intellectual curiosity and academic enquiry An understanding of research techniques and critical evaluation Problem solving abilities A good professional attitude and a high standard of professional behaviour Knowledge and understanding of the relationship between veterinary science, medical science and other biosciences Demonstrate an awareness of the role of veterinarians in the community, particularly in relation to ethical principles Demonstrate competence in information technology including the use of computers for word processing, data handling and information retrieval. Produce reports in a form that is satisfactory and understandable to the intended audience
