Summary | The Applied Project involves designing and creating a resource (e.g. resource booklet, programme design document, operating procedures, teaching unit lesson plans) that can be directly put into practice by yourself and colleagues. The Applied Project is a significant piece of work that allows you to develop an educational resource which can be used to improve theory-driven practice.
The Applied Project should be underpinned by theory, concepts and evidence.
It should include:
1. a significant and critical discussion of the relevant context
2. a rigorous and substantive analysis of the identified issue or problem
3. a creative and systematic approach for addressing the identified issue

Course description |
The submission will feature at least one substantial written section, comprising an introduction, literature review, and key implications for practice. This should develop a clear academic argument for the ways in which the literature informs the resource design, and the educational resource itself. This section should be between 4000 and 6000 words and accompanied by a table of contents, project summary, and reference list. Accompanying material is required and can take various forms, such as, for example, programme design documents, unit lesson plans, operating manuals, physical teaching resources, and guidance booklets.
