Summary | The MPhys Project aims to help you to identify and cultivate the technical, personal, and presentation skills needed to work successfully in a physics-based research/development environment. During the project, you work on your own under the supervision of your Supervisor. The function of the Supervisor is initially to define the project and then to give advice as your work proceeds. However, it should be understood that the project must be a reflection of your own work and ideas. |
Course description |
This course comprises a novel research project spanning both semesters. These projects are usually defined by the Supervisor (though student-originated are possible) and chosen by the student. Each project is undertaken by the student working on their own, but with support from the Supervisor. Assessment is based on the final report (70%) and the student's performance as a researcher (30%).
