Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Students will apply the knowledge gained from the taught courses to an intellectually demanding research topic of their choice (selected from the choices made available to them);
  2. They will carry out the research either independently or in small groups (with supervision);
  3. They will learn to use research resources (library, internet, advanced engineering computational software) imaginatively to produce meaningful answers to the questions posed in their chosen research;
  4. They will also learn the necessary presentational skills required for demanding research projects in producing their dissertation.
