Summary | British Sign Language Stage 2 offers you a unique opportunity to continue learning one of the official languages of Scotland.
You will further develop strategies to learn languages and gain confidence in holding a simple everyday conversation.
On successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to take British Sign Language Stage 3 . |
Course description |
British Sign Language Stage 2 is suitable for students who have completed British Sign Language Stage 1 or the equivalent of the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Upon completion of the course, students who have fully engaged with all the learning activities will achieve the equivalent of the first half of the A2 level of the CEFR https://www.coe.int/en/web/common-european-framework-reference-languages/table-1-cefr-3.3-common-reference-levels-global-scale and will have developed their confidence in engaging in basic everyday interactions.
Students will develop these elementary linguistic skills through a variety of comprehension and production activities. The course focuses on language that is required for communicating in real everyday situations.
The course will include autonomous learning activities, which enable students to practice and consolidate their skills.¿
