SummaryThis course is intended for students who spend a year abroad and who opt to write a dissertation for Linguistics and English Language.
Course description Field or library research on an approved topic, in preparation for the writing of a dissertation in the fourth year. The dissertation topic is not confirmed, nor a supervisor assigned, until the end of a student's third year of study.
Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Co-requisites Students MUST also take: Year Abroad Work for Degrees in Modern European Languages and Linguistics or English Language with dissertation (LASC10099)
Prohibited Combinations Students MUST NOT also be taking Third-year Project in Language Sciences (LASC10059) OR Year Abroad Work for Degrees in Modern European Languages and Linguistics or English Language (LASC10073)
