Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand the role of donors (individuals, corporate and governments) and their relationship to the developing countries,.
- Critically analyse the impact of philanthropic capitalism.
- Be able to assess and evaluate interventions based on aid and emergency appeals.
- Appreciate concepts such as global responsibility and accountability in the context of aid provision to the developing world.
