On completion of this course the candidate should have a sound understanding of the concept of public private partnerships in the health sector and be able to assess the following:
* The role of public private partnerships in funding of disease control in vertical programmes or within the health systems
* The benefits to the private partners: economic return and ethical credibility
* The suitability of interventions for public private partnerships in comparison to other funding options
* The success of public private partnerships and the prognosis for their long-term sustainability
