SummaryThis course provides non-native Japanese students with the essential translation skills, also covering relevant theoretical implications. The work is on a wide range of exercises and activities, which include speed translation, reading of parallel texts, synopsis writing in the target language, and evaluation of text translated by both human and non-human translators.

All students will be given a formative feedback exercise that will be helpful for the assessment for this course and students' general academic development.
