The Master Studio deals with large scale landscape design. Design research leads to the visualisation of possible developments at an early stage. The practice placement enables the student to come into contact with every stage of the planning or building process from design to completion in the course of the study period and to gain insight into the links between those different parts of the trajectory.
Course description The courses covered on the placement are: Master Studio; Defining and Researching a Paper; Seminar Series on Current Affairs; and Working Practice at an Office

The Amsterdam Academy of Architecture prepares students to practice spatial design as a discipline at the interface between fine art, building technology, civil engineering and landscape architecture on a Master Level. The combination of study and practical experience has been a traditional feature of the Academy of Architecture since its foundation in 1908.
