Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Upon successful completion of the course student will acquire a sufficient range of vocabulary to describe a variety of situations and to express thoughts on abstract, social and cultural topics.
- Students will be able to compose 200 words text to explain the main points relating to an idea, social issue, or form a reasonable argument. be able to translate a paragraph (around 100 words) from and into Persian on a variety of social and cultural topics.
- Students will be able to read and understand texts from newspapers and news websites with familiar topics and also texts on subjects of personal interests.
- Students will be able to describe social situations, personal experiences, opinions and can develop an argument. They can prepare presentations and answer questions.
- They will obtain a deeper understanding of Persian civilization and culture through their reading, aural and oral class material.
