SummaryThe German 2 language course consists of one Applied Grammar Seminar per week, one Translation/Text Production Seminar per week, and one Oral Language Practical per week. All classes take place in both semesters.
Course description The language teaching in the second year is designed to fulfil two aims: to consolidate the progress made in the first year, for students from both German 1A and 1B, and to prepare students so that they will be able to take full advantage of the time they will spend abroad. The second year concentrates on consolidating grammar, expanding vocabulary and further developing skills of written and oral self-expression. There will be some learning by heart, (with particular attention paid to strong verbs), but teaching will also concentrate on bridging the gap between theory and practice.
