Year 1 Academic year: 2017/18, Starting in: September

Notes:
A total of 120 credits of courses and 60 credits of dissertation must be taken to achieve the MSc.

The Programme Director must approve choice of courses. Students should be aware that not all optional courses will necessarily be available in any given year. Confirmation of running courses will be available by the programme start date.

For courses co-taught with undergraduate students and with no remaining undergraduate spaces left, a maximum of 8 MSc students can join the course. Priority will be given to MSc students who wish to take the course for credit on a first come first served basis after matriculation.

Students with no previous experience of philosophy will be required to take the Introduction to Philosophical Methods course in semester 1 and 60 credits of option courses. Students with a background in philosophy may be exempted from taking Introduction to Philosophical Method with the agreement of the Programme Director, and will take 80 credits of option courses.
