A total of 120 credits of courses and 60 credits of dissertation must be successfully taken to achieve the MSc.

Students who have a strong previous background in Philosophy will be allowed, at the discretion of the Programme Director, to substitute Introduction to Philosophical Methodology for another suitable 20 credit course.

Courses with 'Advanced' in the title have the corresponding non-advanced version of the course as a prerequisite, though this requirement can be waived at the discretion of the Programme Director.

The Programme Director must approve choice of courses. Students should note that not all optional courses will necessarily be available in any given year. Confirmation of running courses will be available by the programme start date.
