Course description |
Your Project Proposal should convince the reader that you understand what you are doing, why you are doing it, and that the approach you plan to take is scientifically sound. Your supervisor will provide you with some starter references, and provide you with opportunities to develop the understanding of your proposal by engaging in academic discussions with them.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Develop your academic interaction and communication skills with your project supervisor.
- Gain an understanding of the background and format of your project.
- Define the background, hypothesis aims, methods and predicted outcomes of your project in a report that has clarity and a depth of academic understanding appropriate for a professional audience within the field.
- Assess the timescale to perform different elements of the project.
- Gain insight into the process of successfully writing a grant application, and submit it within a specified deadline.
