Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate in a source analysis and transcription and translation exercises a detailed and critical command of the body of knowledge concerning late medieval Scottish palaeography
- Demonstrate in source analysis and transcription and translation exercises an ability to analyse and reflect critically upon relevant scholarship concerning late medieval Scottish palaeography, and engage critically with the appropriate primary source materials
- Demonstrate in source analysis and transcription and translation exercises, an ability to understand and apply specialised research or professional skills, techniques and practices considered in the course
- Demonstrate in source analysis and transcription and translation exercises an ability to read late medieval scripts, accurately expand suspensions and contractions, and comment on the context for document production and use
