Summary | During the course the clinically relevant anatomical aspects of the eye, orbit and visual pathways will be emphasised. A clear, logical, consistent and simple approach to patients presenting with ophthalmic disease will be taught and illustrated with clinical examples. There will also be a session during which you will be taught relevant clinical skills. Clinical teaching will take place in the Outpatients, Eye Casualty and the operating theatres of the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion (PAEP). |

To understand the pathology and clinical presentation of common conditions affecting the eye and visual system.
To understand which symptoms and signs signify potentially serious disease
Be familiar with appropriate investigations in ophthalmology
