Summary | The PDLDT course is a compulsory course for students wishing to follow the Dance Educator¿s pathway to QTS and GTCSS recognition within MSc Dance Science & Education.
The 18 weeks of placement are designed to support and challenge students, providing mentoring and coaching, feedback, opportunities to apply academic learning in a teaching context, and space for reflection. This will all be done within the supportive framework used for any student placement in a school or informal learning environment. In addition students will have access to a range of additional Professional Learning (CPD) opportunities. For example, the Professional Learning will be a combination of statutory (Child Protection), recommended (i.e. CfE, GIRFEC, SQA, Additional Support Needs etc.) and individual choice. |

3.A written task (40%): this will be a written assignment that will be related to a policy document2
4.A presentation (20%) of a digital Dance Education resource that the student has developed for a chosen context within the Community placement experience of the course
