| Summary | This course will introduce students to a range of theories of children's psychological development (social, emotional, cognitive). |
| Course description |
Through providing an overview of different theories of child development including biological, individual and systemic models, students will be encouraged to critically appraise these theoretical approaches and to consider what predicts typical and atypical development. In addition, the course will invite students to apply developmental theory to real life examples, thus encouraging critical reflection on the utility of developmental theories to enhance current practice/experience.
