Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Ability to discuss with contrasting examples various types of infection-related immune led diseases including viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the mechanisms of disease development via innate and acquired immunity in relation to infection.
- Compare and contrast the underlying causes of primary and secondary immune deficiency which contribute to infection led diseases.
- Develop research ideas in the field which are informed by evidence from basic science and clinical studies.
- Demonstrate understanding of therapy and management of acute and chronic infection related immune led diseases.
