Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Ability to discuss with contrasting examples various types of infection-related immune led diseases including viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of the mechanisms of disease development via innate and acquired immunity in relation to infection.
  3. Compare and contrast the underlying causes of primary and secondary immune deficiency which contribute to infection led diseases.
  4. Develop research ideas in the field which are informed by evidence from basic science and clinical studies.
  5. Demonstrate understanding of therapy and management of acute and chronic infection related immune led diseases.
