SummaryMLA Landscape Portfolio 2 extends and develops the student portfolio started in Landscape Portfolio 1. The projects build on and develop ideas and content introduced in Landscape Portfolio 1. The content is the result of an agreement between the programme director, course organiser and the student. The project types undertaken will be selected according to the student¿s background, design understanding, experience and interests.
Course description The student will, with advice from programme and course directors, select various projects which will continue to develop understanding and skills started in landscape Portfolio 1. The brief/s and site/s will be given and the students will work with tutor/s and peers on the development and realisation of their individual and group design proposals. The portfolio of project/s will be submitted at the end of Semester 2.

Students must pass all learning outcomes. The aggregation of failed Learning outcomes with passing learning outcomes to generate an overall pass mark is not permitted. Failure of one learning outcome will result in a Forced Fail (FF) outcome.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. to critically analyse site, programme brief and materials and to follow a logical decision-making process based on this understanding
  2. to develop abstract ideas and place their work in a landscape architectural context
  3. to assess solutions and solution types and make judgements about their suitability
  4. to communicate design solutions, ideas and arguments through graphical and verbal means
