Summary | This course will provide students with the opportunity to develop a greater understanding of the academic skills required to successfully undertake a post-graduate programme of study. It will be structured to follow the academic writing process (sourcing information, critical review, statistical analysis, writing, presentation) and will support students preparing for assessment and dissertation projects. |

This is not a full year course, but rather a five-week course that we will run three times per year (August-September; November-December; March-April).

Formal summative portfolio assessment will constitute 100% of the student¿s grade. The portfolio will be structured to allow the student to gather evidence from course assessment across their programme of study to encourage reflection on learning in addition to recognition and development of study skills. |
