Learning Outcomes
To introduce students to measures of health and disease and their comparison across populations and how possible associations between exposures/ risk factors and disease outcomes are investigated.
Understanding of strengths and weaknesses of routine population health and disability data and their summary measures.
Understanding of design, analysis and interpretation of epidemiological studies in the context of public health practice, research and policy.
Understanding of sources of error and ability to critically appraise epidemiological studies.
