Summary | An introduction into the theories of time, space, motion and change in classical Greek and Hellenistic philosophy. We shall start with a brief review of pre-Socratics and do on to discuss the relevant parts of Plato's Timaeus, Aristotle's Physics and selections from Stoic and Epicurean writers. In the end we'll discuss the sceptical criticisms of ancient cosmology. |
