| Summary | Epidemiology is the study of the patterns, causes and effects of health and disease in defined populations. An understanding of the basic principles of epidemiology is essential for the successful design of any clinical trial. This module is designed to equip candidates with this foundation knowledge, with special focus being placed on the key concepts, methods and topics in epidemiology as they apply to public health research and other fields of clinical medicine. |
