This course introduces students to techniques such as woodcut, collagraph and other relief printing techniques to develop, design and print a series of richly textured works. The course will enable students to experiment with colour, texture and compositional design through the safe use of tools, presses and historical and contemporary techniques which consider context and content. |

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- On completion of this course through class hours, directed and independent study, students will be able to;
RESEARCH
use a visual sketchbook/journal to develop visual compositions which explore the potential of relief printmaking and consider the context within visual culture.
- PRACTICE
Make a range of relief prints which consider mark-making, texture and composition using colour, collage and multiple blocks
- PRESENT
select, edit and present a range of resolved and related artists¿ prints which demonstrate a personal vocabulary
