For students with some printmaking experience, this course will explore a range of Intaglio methods of printmaking such as multiple plate colour etching, aquatint, photo etching and chine collé. Working from their own developed drawings and visual ideas, students will learn and develop diverse and experimental approaches to this medium to create a portfolio of related and ambitious prints. |

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- RESEARCH
translate their personal imagery into etchings and develop confidence working with Intaglio techniques.
- PRACTICE
create a portfolio of etchings which demonstrates an understanding of the range of possibilities this technique has to offer.
- PRESENT
learn how to work competently and safely within a workshop environment and produce a set of well-presented prints.
