Students will :
- understand the contribution that animal models have made to the study of development, and how they continue to give insights into human development.
- gain an understanding of the different types of stem cells and of the concept of potency with respect to stem cells.
- understand how ¿stemness¿ is maintained at the level of the organisation and activity of the genome as well as the transcriptome and proteome.
- Understand how normal development operates to produce the cells, tissues and organs of the body
