SummaryThe dissertation provides students with the opportunity to undertake a substantial piece of original research on a topic of their choice, approved by the programme director. Students work independently with the supervision of a member of academic staff to develop a dissertation proposal, undertake original research, and complete a dissertation of 15,000 words.
Course description The dissertation will constitute a piece of research, 15,000 words on a topic approved by the programme director.

Students will receive regular supervision and will be expected to liaise regularly with their supervisor and submit material for comment at agreed times. Supervisors will not read and comment on full drafts of the dissertation.
