On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- To identify the sources of officially published mortality data and understand how these are compiled
- To know and understand the main causes of natural and non-natural death and the criteria used to ascertain the manner of death
- To identify trends and make comparisons between different medico-legal jurisdictions and suggest reasons and explanations for any observed differences
