SummarySexually transmitted infections is one of the top three reasons of healthy life years lost in women in developing countries, this course aims to introduce students to the concepts of STI diagnosis, management and control.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Understand diagnosis, treatment and monitoring for STIs (including HIV).
  2. The various approaches to prevention and control.
  3. Issues of confidentiality and partner notification.
  4. The provision of STI health care and management.
