Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Students will develop a broad, integrated overview of exploration methods and the physics of waves, focussing on reflection seismics, signal processing and migration.
- Students will develop an understanding of the principal theories and be aware of specialised and principal techniques used in this field e.g. components of a typical land and marine survey, the main processing methods used as standard across industry, non-governmental organisations and academia.
- This course takes you up to the level where you can begin to appreciate the most recent advances and research-level papers in this field.
