Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Students will develop a broad, integrated overview of exploration methods and the physics of waves, focussing on reflection seismics, signal processing and migration.
  2. Students will develop an understanding of the principal theories and be aware of specialised and principal techniques used in this field e.g. components of a typical land and marine survey, the main processing methods used as standard across industry, non-governmental organisations and academia.
  3. This course takes you up to the level where you can begin to appreciate the most recent advances and research-level papers in this field.
