Summary | This course is designed to encompass studies undertaken both within ECA but primarily on work-based placement. Students primarily work on placement activities and conclude with studio project(s). Students are encouraged to fully and professionally engage with their work-based placement requirements, and their subsequent ECA studio activity which allows time to reflect on this professional experience. The course will enable students to develop their knowledge and understanding of professional practice and critically appraise a body of clearly defined project material that communicates a progression of ideas and an awareness of contemporary creative practice and user/audience needs. Students will develop advanced creative methods, techniques, approaches, materials and processes, exploring how practitioners conceptualise briefs. They will begin to professionally position their personal practice, exploring a range of appropriate design methodologies and strategies for the professional presentation and documentation of their work. |
