SummaryThis module will build on the first year teaching on normal craniofacial and dental development by introducing the anomalies of growth and development of interest to the orthodontist, such as cleft lip and palate, skeletal disharmony, facial asymmetries, syndromes, and how these can be diagnosed and treated.
Course description Abnormalities of facial and craniofacial growth and development are covered in this section. The assessment, diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired craniofacial anomalies (such as skeletal disproportion, cleft lip and palate, etc) will be presented. The multidisciplinary nature of such treatment will be emphasised.
