Additional Information (Assessment) |
Assessment will be based on individual and group written assignments and an oral presentation.
65% of the grade will be based on work associated with a group project involving a feasibility assignment of the market potential of a university-developed technology. This will involve production of a group report which includes an analysis of the technical feasibility of the technology itself, potential markets, and the overall commercialisation environment: the word limit will be 4,500 words. The report will be worth 55% of the overall mark (in line with School policy, 10% of this grade will be based on peer evaluation). A group presentation of the results will be worth 10% of the grade. Both the group feasibility project and presentation will be due in the last week of class.
An individual essay assignment due on Week 6 will ask students to analyse the resources found within their local entrepreneurial ecosystem and explain how this will affect the growth strategy of a technology commercialisation venture. This assignment will have a word limit of 2,000 words and be worth 35% of their final grade. |
