SummaryScience Communication/Public Engagement critical analysis project. The projects are being offered by Institute for Science and Technology Studies. The project supervisor will undertake to instruct students on the analysis and research methods required for the project and this approach is consistent with their approach for students (on other programmes undertaking a Masters dissertation) with no previous knowledge of social science/science education research methodologies. In addition the projects will draw on the aggregated learning outcomes of the core courses.

  1. Critical analysis of relevant science communication literature.
  2. Ability to apply conceptual tools and theoretical approaches for the study of public engagement from a social science perspective.
  3. Application of research tools and strategies in investigating a problem/phenomenon in sciencecommunication.
