Summary | Taking current developments in culture and the socio-economic planning framework into consideration, the focus of this placement lies on the scientific and artistic development of solutions in design. The shaping of the landscape through infrastructure, i.e. waterways and traffic systems, are core design and research areas.

Course description |
This placement comprises the following three courses:
Designing Urban Landscapes and Waterscapes (10 SCQF)
Master Studio II (30 SCQF)
Preservation of Ancient Gardens (10 SCQF)
Teaching is centred around intensively supervised design studios and carried out in small groups. This helps students to reflect on their creative activity as well as developments in contemporary society.
Experts and practitioners have teaching assignments in Hannover, so that theoretical and scientific course content always responds to practical requirements.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Demonsrate a strengthened knowledge of basing design on scientific principals.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of current theoretical and practical approaches in designing urban landscapes and waterscapes.
- Acquire knowledge on the theoretical and practical principals regarding the preservation of ancient gardens.
