Coursework (10%):
The assessement of specific keyboard skills developed on a weekly basis.
Exams:
One 30-minute class exam in Semester 2, Week 8 (40%) and one 30 minute degree examination (50%) in the May examination diet.

Verbal feedback will be provided throughout the course on a weekly basis at tutorials.
Written feedback is provided after the week 8 exam - this is provided within 15 working days. |

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate keyboard skills in a variety of styles including jazz, folk and pop.
- Understand harmony, improvisation and accompaniment in jazz, folk and pop idioms.
- Apply these newly developed skills to individual exploration, beyond the conventional 'classical' format.
