Learning Outcomes
- Students will have learned how to carry out systematic and extended research into a musical topic.
- They will have gained experience in planning and writing a piece of extended written work.
- They will have learned how to synthesise information and views from a variety of sources.
- They will have learned how to present a dissertation, properly referenced and with bibliography, appendices and all necessary scholarly apparatus.

Additional Class Delivery Information 1 hour per week for 2 weeks. Each semester begins with one hour-long class. Students are assigned to a supervisor who provides 6 x 30 minute tutorials over the year to support the individual programme of research, providing preparation advice, guidance and quality control.
Presentations are held in week 11, Semester 1.
