Feedback |
During this course you will have opportunities to present exploration¿related material to the class and to the lecturer, presenting individually and as part of a presentation team. You will receive questions and feedback from both the audience and the lecturer about the exploration geophysics material in your presentation. The lecturer will also give you detailed feedback on your individual presentation style, including constructive tips on how to improve. This is always seen as a very positive and useful exercise by students each year.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Students will develop a broad, integrated overview of exploration methods and the physics of waves, focussing on reflection seismics, signal processing and migration.
- Students will develop an understanding of the principal theories and be aware of specialised and principal techniques used in this field e.g. components of a typical land and marine survey, the main processing methods used as standard across industry, non-governmental organisations and academia.
- This course takes you up to the level where you can begin to appreciate the most recent advances and research-level papers in this field.
